NetOne takes clean-up campaign to Mutasa district
At NetOne, we believe in making a difference—not just through our innovative telecom solutions but also by giving back to the communities we serve. As part of our commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR), we recently partnered with key stakeholders in Mutasa District, Manicaland Province, for a community clean-up campaign aimed at combating environmental pollution.
The initiative, which took place at Hauna Business Centre, aligns with the government’s National Clean-Up Campaign. It is part of our ongoing efforts to promote sustainable practices and create a cleaner, healthier environment for all Zimbabweans.

A Shared Responsibility for a Cleaner Future
Speaking during the event, our Chief Commercial Officer, Learnmore Musunda, highlighted the importance of collective action in preserving the environment.
“The National Clean-Up Day is a nationwide effort to protect and sustain our surroundings. It brings individuals and organisations together to remove litter, promote recycling, encourage proper waste disposal, and spread awareness about the significance of environmental conservation,” said Musunda.

At NetOne, we are committed to supporting government efforts in ensuring that every Zimbabwean enjoys a clean and healthy environment. Beyond preventing pollution and safeguarding natural habitats, our clean-up initiatives reflect our mission to empower communities and transform lives through sustainable digital solutions.
More Than Just a Clean-Up
Our Acting Head of Marketing, Tatenda Makumborenga, emphasised that this campaign—executed in partnership with the Environmental Management Agency (EMA) and other local stakeholders—is just the beginning of a broader environmental movement by NetOne.

“Beyond the environmental benefits, this initiative strengthens community pride and unity. It encourages a shared sense of responsibility for our surroundings. As a brand that genuinely cares, NetOne is committed to ensuring that communities across Zimbabwe remain clean, united, and healthy,” said Makumborenga.
Looking ahead, we plan to expand our clean-up efforts, introducing outdoor bin installations and increasing awareness campaigns in more communities. Our goal is to make an even greater impact on environmental conservation while fostering strong community engagement.
At NetOne, we do more than connect people—we empower communities and drive positive change. Together, we can build a cleaner, greener Zimbabwe!

NetOne was honoured at the prestigious Zim Community Trailblazers Awards (ZCTA) held at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC).
